CLASS SCHEDULE for Pieceful Pastime

It is unusual for us to add a class this late in the year, but we came across the cutest little bag.  It goes together quickly and effortlessly and all it takes is two fat quarters and a 12” zipper! Well, Susan just whipped one up and thought you guys might like to make a few for Christmas gifts!  It would be great in brights for young gals or a perfect little evening bag in more subdued colors.  Heck, they're so fast, you can make one for every outfit!  

 

Little Bag Class.   Thursday, November 20, 3-5 p.m.  Susan will guide you through the steps to make this cute little bag.  (You will need to purchase a 12” nylon zipper that matches your fabric at another establishment prior to class.)  Cost:  $7.50 + pattern and 2 fat quarters.  Sign up deadline is 5:30 p.m. Friday, November 14. (If there are enough people interested in an evening class, we will schedule one, but you must let us know soon!)

 
  Machine Quilting.   Here's a heads up that we have TENTATIVELY scheduled a machine quilting class for Feb 21, 2009. Katie Wilson will once again be teaching you how to do free motion quilting on your regular sewing machine.  You need a sewing machine upon which you can drop the feed dogs.  Cost will be $30.  Class will run from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. We will only allow 6 people in this section, so get signed up soon.  (Remember, fees must be paid to be considered “signed up!”) I will give you more information when I update this page!

Little Quilt Class.   This group continues to meet the third Thursday of the month from 5:30-7:30. We use the book Bits and Pieces as our guide, and we will be making the One Patch Garden at the August get-together.  We suggest that you have your pieces cut out when you arrive for class, but if you don't, you can do that once you get here. Cost is $5.00 per get-together.

    Class guidelines.  To have your name placed on the roster for any class, you will need to leave a check with us for your instruction fees.  The check is non-refundable, but it will not be cashed until the class begins. If we have to cancel the class for any reason, we will return your check to you. We prefer that you purchase your fabric and supplies at our shop, as we know the quality and usefulness of our products, and your business allows us to stay in business and continue offering classes.
