Good morning, Quilters!

I am sorry that I haven't gotten this page updated for so long, but today I am “writing” that wrong!  We are still here, and we have more fabrics, products, and plans that I want to tell you about!

First of all, I invite you to join the Quilter's Football League ! This is a combination local group and national Shop Hop, and the goal is fun, fun, FUN!  On the local level, your goal is to gain points.  How do you gain points?  By stopping in, shopping, singing (I'm serious!), and all kinds of activities!  We will award four prizes locally—1 st Prize is a bundle of 50 fat quarters of our newest and bestest fabrics for the team member who earns the most points!  (It has to be good to get the English teacher to bend the rules of grammar!) 2 nd Prize is 26 fat quarters to the person who earns the second highest point total.  3 rd and 4 th prizes will be 12 fat quarters each, and the winners will be drawn from the names of all our team members, with no point totals required! You also will be given computer usernames and passwords that take you into a website that provides 15+ free patterns (including one for a football quilt), recipes, games, and other fun activities. There will be weekly specials available ONLY to QFL members.  In addition to the local aspect of the league, there is also a national level where you can once again compete for prizes.  There are challenges from companies such as Kwik-Sew patterns with great prizes!  Cost to join the fun is $20, and the national contests will run through August, while our local contest will run through October.  Be sure to stop in and ask us for the details! And don't worry if you didn't join right away—I will pro-rate the points so that you are not at a disadvantage for the points! Just come join the fun!

July 31 will be the second Fifth Saturday of the 2010 season! Bring your 2010 Shop Hop bag and receive a 20% discount on your day's purchases from Pieceful Pastime!  My only exclusions are BAM, special orders, and already-reduced merchandise.  That leaves PLENTY to choose from, so come on down!  A reminder that our Saturday hours are 9:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. And another reminder to those who shop hopped at Pieceful Pastime: I gave you a coupon to be used only during the month of July.  Don't forget that it is in your purse! 

Pro-Fab Shop Hop.   This fall you can hop to the Northeast Nebraska shops and collect the patterns to make the fourth and final installment in our season quilts.  The theme this year is “Summer.”  Don't miss the opportunity to complete your set of seasonal quilts!
